“What are Christ Tinted Shades?” I’m glad you asked! Everyone interprets the world in one way or another, and the way they interpret the world depends on the shades they are wearing when they look around. No one is without shades! Everyone has on their worldview shades at all times; it’s unavoidable. Since everyone wears shades, the question we must ask is, “What shades are the right shades? Which shades will give us the correct interpretation of the world around us?” This is where our shades are tinted with Christ. We believe that the only way to see the world truly and consistently and meaningfully is through the Truth, Jesus Christ.
In order to understand the history of the universe, the telos (goal) of the universe, our place in the universe, the meaning of the universe, and our purpose for existence in the universe, we must see all of these through what God has done and is doing in His Son, Jesus Christ in us and in the world. This is our goal! We want to wake up in the morning, put on our Christ Tinted Shades which place before us “Jesus Christ, Crucified, Risen”, and go out and live consistently with our Christ centered worldview. So, go ahead…put on your shades!
